Home buying tips and tricks and advice from Realtors in Polk County.
Why Should You Use A Realtor?
Realtors have loads of expertise. Buying or selling a home usually requires dozens of forms, reports, disclosures, and other technical documents. Realtors have the training and expertise to help you prepare for a great deal while avoiding delays and serious legal mistakes that could put you and your investment in danger.
What Every First Time Home Buyer Needs To Know
First, you need to know how much home you can afford. Odds are you'll need a loan aka a mortgage. All of this depends on your income and other variables. Next, pick your Realtor, Mark Moffat says, "FInding a Realtor is not hard, but finding one that is best suited for you and your purchase is a challenge." Third, know there is no such thing as a 'perfect home'. As a general rule, most buyers prioritize three main things: price, size, and location. But realistically, you can expect to achieve only two of those three things. Real Estate is all about compromise.
Real Estate Lockbox, Do Home Seller's Really Need One?
The short answer is YES! Using a lockbox can be easier and more convenient for showings. The lockbox also makes it easier for the seller when a buyer's agent wants to show their prospective client the house. When sellers are present for the showing, it creates an awkward position for the buyers. They feel as though they can not openly express their thoughts and can have a harder time picturing themselves in the home.
